Andreu Arriola-Madorell. Born in Barcelona the 24th February of 1956, graduated in Architecture, specializing in Design, Urbanism and History, at the Escola Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona in 1981. Fulbright Grant 1985-86, received his Master in Architecture from Columbia University, New York in 1986. He has been pupil of Rafael Moneo, Ignasi de Solà-Morales and Kenneth Frampton. From 1981-1988 he was architect at the Servei de Projectes Urbans de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona. From 1981 to 1993 he was director at the Institute of Urban Development and Olimpic Games Barcelona ’92.

He was Visiting professor at the Academie van Bouwkunst van de HR u O in Rotterdam in 1992 and visiting professor at UCLA University in Los Angeles in 2004. Since 1994 he has been teaching in the Department de Projectes Arquitectonicos at the Escola Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona.

Carme Fiol-Costa. A Barcelonian by birth (17th October 1956), she graduated in architecture at ETSAB in 1981. She received a Scholarship from the Generalitat de Catalunya Grant in 1985-87 and William Kinne Fellowship 1986-87. She received her Master of Science in Architecture and Building Design from Columbia University in New York in 1986. She has been pupil of Oriol Bohigas, Manuel de Solà-Morales and Peter Eisenmann. From 1981-1988 she was a leading architect in the Departament de Project Urbans de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona whose Public Spaces between 1981 and 1987 were awarded the Harvard University Prince of Wales Prize in 1990.

From 1993-2002 she was professor in the Departament d’Urbanisme i Ordenació del Territori at ETSAB, in 1997 she was Member of the Jury of the ‘Concours Imperatrice’ Foundation Roi Baudouin à Bruxelles and professor at ILAUD (International Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design), Venezia 1998. Since 2003 she‘s visiting by professor at the Scuola di Architettura dell’Università degli Studi di Cagliari. Doctor Europeus at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Barcelona, 2007.
